Legal Protection of the Family in Algerian Legislation

Abstract

The family is considered one of the oldest institutions known to humanity; however, the concept of the family has multiple meanings, which requires careful examination of the conceptual framework of the term “family”.

The family and its formation have received great attention and protection at all levels and dimensions, starting from the revealed religions, passing through international conventions, and extending to national legislations. This research aims to shed light on the position of national legislations regarding the legal protection of the family.
