1. About the Journal

The International and Comparative Corporate Law Journal is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to the advancement of research in corporate law, company law, and related commercial legal disciplines from international and comparative perspectives. The journal provides a global forum for rigorous doctrinal analysis, comparative legal scholarship, and policy-oriented research addressing contemporary corporate law challenges across jurisdictions.

2. Scope and Coverage

The journal welcomes original scholarly contributions in, but not limited to, the following areas:

  • Corporate and company law (international and comparative)
  • Corporate governance, board structures, and accountability
  • Shareholder rights, minority protection, and stakeholder interests
  • Mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring
  • Corporate finance, securities, and capital markets regulation
  • Insolvency, restructuring, and cross-border insolvency law
  • Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) regulation
  • Regulatory compliance and transnational business law

Interdisciplinary submissions engaging economics, governance, or public policy are encouraged, provided they maintain a strong legal foundation.

3. Types of Contributions

The journal publishes the following categories of scholarly work:

  • Original research articles
  • Doctrinal and comparative legal analyses
  • Policy and regulatory studies
  • Critical review articles

4. Originality and Publication Ethics

Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of all statements, citations, and references. Any form of plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or unethical research practice will result in rejection or retraction in accordance with the journal’s ethical standards.

5. Manuscript Preparation and Formatting

Manuscripts should be written in formal academic English and prepared in accordance with the following requirements:

  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Font Size: 12-point (main text); 10-point (footnotes)
  • Line Spacing: Double-spaced throughout, including footnotes
  • Text Alignment: Justified
  • Page Numbers: Consecutively numbered

6. Structure of the Manuscript

Each submission should be organized in the following order:

  • Title of the manuscript
  • Author name(s)
  • Institutional affiliation(s)
  • Email address of the corresponding author
  • Abstract (150–250 words)
  • Keywords (4–6)
  • Main text
  • Conclusion
  • References / Footnotes

7. Citation and Referencing

Authors must use a consistent legal citation style throughout the manuscript. APA 7th Edition or another internationally recognized legal referencing system is preferred. References must be provided in footnotes; endnotes are not permitted.

8. Peer Review Process

All submissions undergo an initial editorial screening for scope, originality, and quality. Manuscripts that pass this stage are subject to a double-blind peer-review process conducted by independent experts. Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewer and editorial feedback prior to final acceptance.

9. Copyright and License

Authors retain copyright in their published work. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license, permitting non-commercial use, distribution, and reproduction with proper attribution to the author and the journal.

10. Article Processing Charges

An Article Processing Charge (APC) of EUR 749 is payable upon acceptance of the manuscript. The APC covers editorial processing, peer-review administration, online publication, and long-term digital archiving.

11. Submission Procedure

Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal’s official website at https://icclj.com. Authors are advised to ensure full compliance with these guidelines prior to submission to avoid delays in processing.

12. Final Provisions

Submission of a manuscript implies acceptance of the journal’s editorial policies, peer-review procedures, ethical standards, and licensing terms. The journal reserves the right to make minor editorial revisions for clarity and consistency without affecting the substance of the work.
